Anyone with ubuntu 12 have a constant load on there server?

Since i installed amahi, my home server sits at 0.51 0.50 0.45 all day ling

My fedora 14 desktop with all my apps running sat quietly at 0.00 when idle.

And all i have installed is Sick Beard, CouchPotato , transmission

And Sick Beard, CouchPotato are not in use yet.

Most times when I check, mine does have a load. Not sure why or what is running. I have not spent much time investigating. Maybe it is greyhole or something internal to Ubuntu.

Would be interested to see what could be the culprit.

Last time I checked, it was monit grabbing half the CPU time. Not sure why though.

When I get a chance I will do some digging. For me its not greyhole, as I do not use that service and disabled it right away.

I think it may be amahi. Only for the reason, before I installed it I had no load (as expected). I did a basic install of Ubuntu, (LAMP, DNS, SSH, SAMBA)

Check for monit in top, it was "top of the class" for me.

I will check that tonight.

I did a quick "top" and nothing jumped out which i thought was odd, but I will check again.

I would like to get this fixed. I prefer my loads to be 0.00

So do I, especially on an AMD Turion II Neo N40L 1.5GHz based system running Debian as the KVM host & Ubuntu/Amahi as one of its two guests.

Sorry to drag up an old topic, but I'm seeing a lot of cpu usage for the monit process under Ubuntu as well. Did you ever find a solution?

I disabled the 'watchdog' for all the servers in my dashboard and the cpu then sits at 1% rather than nearly 30% all the time.

I might try enabling them one at a time to see if there is a problem service, but for now I'll leave them off as things seem pretty reliable anyway.

Nothing resolved that I am aware. There is a bug on this issue, but the root cause has not been identified.

My system stopped having a constant load a long time ago. I have no idea why either
