I am installing Amahi on Ubuntu server 12.04, I got to the server reboot step and I cannot start the HDA. Using the Network Troubleshooter, I failed step 4 - DNS resolving for internal hostnames. Here's a paste to help troubleshoot: http://sprunge.us/MIGM

It appears as if your HDA is assigned the ISP IP address, not one from your network. Recommend you try rebooting you HDA if you have not already done so. That is a required step. The DHCP on your router should not be shut off until all is working.

Maybe if you provide additional details of your network and how you installed Ubuntu/Amahi, we can assist you better. Also consider stopping by the IRC channel for live help.

My isp is at&t, my router is a 2-wire 3800HGV-B, the Ubuntu server 12.04 install was done headless the day before the Amahi install. OpenSSH server, DNS server, LAMP server, Samba server, Tomcat Java server options were selected for the Ubuntu install. The only upgrade that I made was to install Webmin which I used to do the Amahi install with the command line shell. Webmin is still functioning after the Amahi install. In the Webmin file manager I can see the HDA files in /var/hda.

So are you saying you installed all these things manually before installing Amahi? If so, that could be the problem.

Amahi MUST be installed on a fresh Ubuntu install following the guidance on the docs website. If you deviate from them, there is a good chance of failure.

If you need to add other things after the Amahi install that should work. However before might not work as expected. We cannot test Amahi compatibility with existing installs as there are too many variables.

We would be glad to help, but may need more details.

I don't have any data on the server yet so I may try a fresh Amahi-mahi install, I will let you know how it goes.
