Moving Home Directories

Postby apastor » Sun Jul 01, 2012 5:28 pm

hey guys

I plan on installing ubuntu/amahi when it goes live.

I plan on using 3 drives, OS Drive, data drive, and a backup drive.
I would like to have the home directory on the 2nd Drive (data drive)

Anyone know how this can be done?
Proxmox Server: Currently Not Running Amahi
CPU: AMD FX 6100 Six Core
RAM: 8GB DDR3
HDD: 4x1TB RAID10 (Adaptec)

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Adding_ ... o_your_HDA
see 6.1,6.2
i think most of the info should still work for ubuntu

I am aware of this for adding drives but I am wondering about moving the /home directory to the 2nd drive

When doing your partitioning for your fresh install, simply set up a partition and mount it as /home in the partition manager.
