OK. So I puchased the one-click sabnzbdplus package. Now I try to install it and it just hangs on 'Preparing to install....'. I am running amahi on U12 x64.

This is my app installer output -
himanshu@server:~$ sudo tail -f /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log
from /var/hda/platform/html/script/../app/models/app.rb:377:in `new'

and nothing else happens.

Looks like a possible connectivity problem. Recommend you reboot and try installing again. Also understand Ubuntu is still beta and not stable. We are still working out some of the bugs, so you can expect turbulence.

I rebooted several times and the same thing happens again. Meanwhile please remove sabnzbdplus as a "production" app for ubuntu 12.04 on your apps list.

Do you have a slow connection? I have tested the app today with no issues. Others have tested as well with success.

I am sorry, but we do not move apps from PROD based on one user's input. There is something potentially going on with your install and we would like to help sort it out. Is there a similar problem with any other apps?

When did you install Amahi on Ubuntu? We have made some updates over the past week that you may have missed.

Also, in the future please post in the Ubuntu thread as that is where we are tracking Ubuntu specific issues.

We have done some additional testing and found a problem. The app has been moved to BETA pending resolution.

Do you have an ETA on when this might be fixed?

may i ask why we cannot just do sudo apt-get install sabnzbdplus

i realize that we need to get $$$ for developers but why cant we just do it for free?

We are not using the Ubuntu version of SABnzbd Plus. Last I checked it was the older version, 0.6.15.

If you want to use that version, you are welcome to do so. We do not prevent users from manually setting up apps available in the Ubuntu repos. We simply provide a convenience for those who want an app already set up and pre-configured.

The Amahi version is packaged from the source, so doing an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade will not work. If you install the Ubuntu repo version at the same time the Amahi version is installed, they may clash or render one or both unusable.

Recommend you pick which one you want to use and go with it.

BTW, this app has been fixed and should work in both Fedora and Ubuntu. The Fedora version is 0.6.15 as that OS is not compatible with 0.7.2 unfortunately.

That package does not appear to be in the amahi app store

I used the Ubuntu software installer, it found sabnzbplus and installed it without problem.

It is in the app store, but there is a convenience fee. You are welcome to use the Ubuntu version. I presume you understand we cannot provide support if there are issues.

The Amahi app is the latest (0.7.2). Not sure what Ubuntu has now, last I checked it was still 0.6.15. It is your choice though, use which ever you are most comfortable with on your HDA.
