Best to use Amahi apps. We cannot support manual installs.

Some would rather do manual install as they know what is done to their system. That is ok as long as they are experienced enough to sort out any issues.

Many are willing to lend a hand, but sometimes it takes a while.

When did you install Amahi on Ubuntu? We made some changes that can not be obtained via an update to the beta. It would require a new install unfortunately. Until today's release, any previous version may not be stable.

Not sure if this is a bug, but will need to investigate. Did you verify the share actually exists in /var/hda/files? Also, ensure the permissions reflect the folder is owned by your first admin user:users as well.

If you could check those things and report back, that would be great. Also what did you follow for the mount local shares script? Just wanted to ensure you installed the Ubuntu version and not the Fedora one. They are different and not sure the Fedora one would even work.

As mysterious as it sounds re-mounting drives solved the issue. Who would have guessed. I have removed post from GH section not to confuse people.

Interesting. A reboot would have done the same thing I presume. Thanks for the update.
