Postby bjarkias » Sat Jul 07, 2012 9:54 am

Using the Network Troubleshooter, I failed step 6 - Internet reachable?. Here's a paste to help troubleshoot: http://sprunge.us/fLcR

Allso after setting the amahi hda up my freshly installed ubuntu stated that my wired network device is not managed :(

First of all, did you reboot your machine after install? If you can come to the IRC, we can offer live assistance. It might be quicker and easier to resolve.

There are many things that could cause this problem. Does the IP address for the HDA match what you entered in amahi.org profile? I noticed it is a high number which is typically not used for the HDA.

In future, please post Ubuntu issues in the Ubuntu topic area so we can keep them separate from Fedora.

That does not describe your problem. If you need assistance, please provide details. I am sure we can help once we know the state of your system.

Hi

I also have this problem.

The installation of Ubuntu 4.12 Desktop -64 goes smoothly. Connected to the router with DHCP and I have internet access.
Mode: Auto (DHCP)
GW: 192.168.1.1
IP from the DHCP pool: 192.168.1.100

Downloading and installing Amahi without problems.

But after the reboot, I have completely lost contact with the network.
Can not even see the network status in Ubuntu GUI. It says "No valid active connections found".
If you go in and look at the network settings, it is changed to mode = manual. Ip and gateway that I specified in the web form.

GW: 192.168.1.1
IP: 192.168.1.10

I've tried everything can not access the router via the web admin, nothing.
Have also tried to reinstall everything from scratch with the same results.
I have another Ubuntu 12.04 without Amahi and have internet access through the router even if I choose fixed IP.

Recommend you check the install log in /root folder. Look for errors. did you try the install troubleshooter?

Finally I solved it!

Started from scratch again.
With the difference that after ubuntu installed, I installed all the updates, manually configured the network settings and turned off DHCP on the router.
Wola!
