Does anyone have a video encoding package working on a plug

I have got a sheevaplug, I had looked on the amahi website of apps that work and ampache was on the list.
However after installing ampache on the sheevaplug, i cannot login, it recognises the difference between a valid and invalid login but always returns the login page. I suspect that ampache has not installed correctly.
I also tried videos5, this also appears to install, but it does not encode. I have had a look and it appears that HandBrakeCLI has not installed, therefore you can see the php frontpage but it does not encode.
has anyone been able to install a video encoding package/app using perhaps ffmpeg and/or x264.
