Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: rpmfusion-free

Postby ppmt » Thu Aug 26, 2010 7:40 pm

Hello,

I am trying to install dlna which requires rpmfusion free and non free

in /var/log/hda-updates.log, I get that error repeating constantly

Code: Select all

========================================== starting hda update - sleeping 3 seconds hda update attempt #2 @ Sat Aug 21 22:01:11 EDT 2010 Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: rpmfusion-free Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: rpmfusion-free
Anything I can or need to do to fix it?

:o

you are on arm!

no rpmfusion for arm ...

we really need to limit the apps listed to qualified apps we test more.

we did try to compile the dlna server, however, that was quite a chore and it's something we may need to attack as a team.

lots of dependencies that in the x86 world are fulfilled by the rpmfusion fellas!

and I should check more often the qualified app :)

Shame about it!. dlna looked nice but not sure I would really need it anyway.

Agree with cpg. Maybe we can take the f9 app feature and change it to plug. Unfortunately it does not cover all apps, but its a start.

As apps are tested, we need to ensure we post those that work/don't work to th list cpg mentioned. This at least gives users an idea of what to expect for working apps.

The list probably needs updated as there may be different finding by other users on what works and what does not. When we compiled this list, it was only a few of us who were testing. I have added DLNA and Web KeePass to the list of not working. I will try to test more when time permits.

Bumped into this issue last weekend.

One solution or workaround is to remove the rpmfusion feed.
That *did* allow me to install ushare, which I could not install before removing the feed
