Greyhole - moving landing zone to new disk - permission denied

Postby nominek » Wed Nov 23, 2016 11:25 am

Hi,

Been enjoying Amahi on Fedora 23, but it's time to add new storage. I added a 4TB disk using the wizard - and it appears with 100% space available.

I followed the instructions on the wiki / stopped Samba and Greyhole and in the command line tried to move the old shares (so I could change the landing zones for each of the shares to the bigger disk. I typed;

mv /var/hda/files/videos /var/hda/files/drives/4TB/videos

But I get a 'cannot move, permission denied' response. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm trying to get all the shares to be on the new disk. Thanks!

Are you doing this with root or elevated permissions?
