Hi
I decided to do an upgrade from Amahi 8 to 9
I lost the apps (fine - just reinstalled them). One odd thing was my users and shares have gone from the dashboard. However, when i try to add the same users as before, it says they are installed.
Any idea what might have happened and how can i see them again?
Thanks

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Did you follow the upgrade guidance?
I have never heard of this happening, so a bit concerned on what was executed to upgrade.
Can you please provide the URL for the following:

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Hi
I upgraded as indicated in the guide BUT i did not uninstall the apps (someone on the forum did it w/o uninstalling the apps and they said it was fine). The only issue I had was I could not access the HDA dashboard, so I created a new one via hda-install
The URL is
http://paste.fedoraproject.org/417264/47256333/ -> https://paste.fedoraproject.org/417264/47256333

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Did you run hda-install after the upgrade? If so, you may have corrupted your HDA.I could not access the HDA dashboard, so I created a new one via hda-install

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
I did as hda new install was not available.
Is there a way to fix it? Fingers crossed it doesn't require a new install...

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Sorry to say you will have to start over from scratch.
You cannot do hda-install after the upgrade. It messes up the original install and not easily recovered.
Best when asking for help if you wait for a reply. If you tinker on your own we cannot provide further assistance.

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Hi - no problems. All my fault as I did not ask...
Is there a way to scrub Amahi and reinstall, so I dont have to scrub my HDD and install Fedora from scratch? I hope so as I would like to avoid having to attach a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Thanks bigfoot, as always

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Unfortunately no. You will have to start over completely, loading Fedora 23 and then Amahi. Is there a way to scrub Amahi and reinstall, so I dont have to scrub my HDD and install Fedora from scratch?
