I have been running an Amahi server with a single drive for over a year. I added a new external USB HDD and tried to add a new share. I pointed to the path as described on the Partitions tab to the new drive. I managed to copy files to it as well. Then I realized that I had a space in the share name, so I changed it and couldn't get back into the share. I ssh'ed into the server and got input/output error.
I rebooted the amahi server, but now it won't boot up and gives me the following error:
"Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked"
All I can do it hit Enter and the reboot process starts again.
Kindly let me know if there are any suggestions to fix this issue. I am worried as I have pretty much all of my data on the same drive as the amahi install. Is there a way to recover this data or re-install amahi without wiping the drive clean?
Unable to login to Amahi server after modifying share name and reboot
Re: Unable to login to Amahi server after modifying share name and reboot
Did you mount the drive or just plug it in?
Not sure what could have happened to cause your issue, but be prepared to start over. Not sure if this is recoverable.
