The problem started when trying to install vcn server app… after trying to install my samba server was turned off, trying to solved it I read in the forum that it was a common problem and that updating os could solved it. I uninstall vcn and samba didn’t worked so I use “yum -y update” command (not shure if it is the same command as "yum update"), and now my samba server it’s on and working ...
The problem now is that all my shares that were on my greyhole drive pool are not accessible via windows... I can create new shares and view the shares that were outside my greyhole pool...
The weird thing is that for example I can stream my music with plex and that share is on the drive pool and also I can view all my files and shares if I use the amahi android app on my cell phone, so the problem must be on samba or on my windows pc (I have 2 and both with the same problem)....
I can’t find anything on the forum regarding this problem… I would appreciate a lot if u could help me out.
I tried ipcongif/release – ipconfig/renew and didn’t worked.
Every time I try to open a share folder I get for example “network error windows cannot acces \\Hda\musica” error code 0x80070043 the network name cannot be found

I also tried to access the shares in Windows via the run command box, but had no luck... same problem i can only access the shares that were not in the greyhoole pool.
I don’t know if it helps but mi hda hardware configuration is:

Recommend you uninstall VNC. Then do Next reboot and then install VNC.

didnt work, it seems that i have the latest update, im not sure if thats the problem

Ok. When you say VNC is off, what do you mean. You can check the status by doing: If it says running, then it's working. You can also test by using a VNC client and trying to connect.

If it's not working, let's try this to ensure nothing was missed. Uninstall the VNC app and as root user, do If there are no updates, then we will need to look at other solutions.

Also, please check /var/log/greyhole.log for errors. That can be done via command line: Also check the status of samba:

Ok. When you say VNC is off, what do you mean. You can check the status by doing:

systemctl status vncserver@4

It means its not running or at least at de amahi control pannel… if I uninstall and reinstall vcn, according to the amahi server control panel vcn is active, but when I reboot the HDA on the control panel it says tha vcn server is not running, but when I do # systemctl status vncserver@4

This all seems to point to an issue with the Windows client. If all the services are running, there's something blocking access from Windows possibly.

Do you have another Windows machine you can try?

that did the job!! now its up and running, thanks!
I still didn't try to make vcn work... after a full backup I'll give a try.
