Re: Locally mounted Shares not showing any files
I submitted the report, but I'm not entirely sure that all the information needed was in there. I linked this thread in the description because it shows the whole troubleshooting process.
Re: Locally mounted Shares not showing any files
Thanks. Will have to mull over this one for a while. I just don't see what's missing to cause this issue.
If you by chance sort it out, please post the solution in the bug report and here. We need to capture it for future issues.

One more thing. Please do this and post if any are not installed:
Code: Select all
yum list pmount fuse fuse-libs ntfs-3g cifs-utils

Re: Locally mounted Shares not showing any files
Ok that works. As a last ditch effort is there any way for me to completely remove all remanence of the install and try it one more time from the top? I am not too familiar with linux command line although this issue has given me enough practice to work my way around .
I don't know if that means anything else was installed or not. Restarted the service, still asking for root.
Code: Select all

Re: Locally mounted Shares not showing any files
No that just shows they are installed.
To redo the install of Amahi means starting over completely. There is no uninstall.

Re: Locally mounted Shares not showing any files
I meant just the mount_shares_locally.
Is there no way to remove the service and any evidence of it in any configuration files?

Re: Locally mounted Shares not showing any files
Yes. Stop the service. Remove the init script, .smb_credentials, and /mnt/samba/*. I would recommend reboot as well.

Re: Locally mounted Shares not showing any files
Wow. Who whould have thought? removed every file and directory, used and rebooted, and reinstalled and it works. Glad this nightmare is over. Now onto plex...
Thank you a ton for your help, I'm sure it wouldn't have worked without all of those permission settings. I will add the info to the bug report.
Code: Select all
chkconfig --del mount_shares_locally
