But it shows Samba needs patches and such to avoid a security hole.

Does Amahi play well with the latest version of samba? or are we still 3.6.x ?

I updated my Ubuntu to the latest version and seems to be fine. Of course Fedora 14 is frozen since it's at end of life so no updates to worry about.
