Free Space Discrepancy (Actual vs Amahi Dashboard)

Postby DragonQ » Wed Sep 28, 2011 11:25 am

Hi,

I have 3 partitions in my Greyhole storage pool, all on different drives:

- var/hda/files (also my landing zone)
- var/hda/files/drives/drive1
- var/hda/files/drives/drive2

The Amahi dashboard claims there's plenty of space for new files:

However, Windows keeps giving me errors about there not being enough disk space when copying files to the server and I also keep getting "low disk space" warnings on the server itself:

The server's trash is empty and so is the greyhole attic, so what is the reason for this discrepancy? :?

Aha, I think I have found why this is happening: http://bugs.amahi.org/issues/show/693

I shall try changing the reserved space to 1% or something because on drives this big, 5% is ridiculous. Does anyone know what the reserved space is actually for and if there's any disadvantage to turning it off completely?
