PDC problems

I have PDC support kind of working.

First there are a couple things that can be cleaned up in the Wiki http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/PDC

Instead of:

sudo /etc/init.d/smbd restart
sudo /etc/init.d/nmbd restart

sudo service smb restart
sudo service nmb restart

I had errors that the init.d files did not exist.

I was able to join the XP pro workstation to the domain and then log in as a user that I created in Amahi. The first time took some time, naturally, as it had to set up all sorts of files. I then rebooted to make sure, and now every time I reboot, I get a notepad open with a file name of desktop and content of:

[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

What is that all about?

Then the home share is NOT being mounted. I thought the lines:

logon drive = q:
logon home = \\hda\%u

Were suppose to provide.access to the home share as drive q:

This is a feature we need to rework a bit. Please feel free to make updates to the wiki as you discover better ways to make it work.

In the mean time, keep us posted on your progress. If you find things which require changes in Amahi, please submit a bug. We will add it to the list of things needing work.

We appreciate your assistance in streamlining this feature and hope we can make it better for all.

yes.. the wiki article only applies to "old" versions of Fedora, apparantly those no longer apply, so feel free to edit the wiki is you see fit :)
perhaps it would be best if we created a new thread, where we can discuss all about the pdc feature?
i've kind of lost track of all the threads

also, the file beeing opened is a standard desktop.ini file located in your start menu > startup folder,
i am creating a new smb.conf that will "hide" all the desktop.ini files, thus not beeing "launched"
