we're aware and working on it.
it's a fedora issue. we filed a bug with redhat.

the solution for now is to map all usernames to lowercase
we will roll this out soon!

I was have the same problem, followed all the advise and , for me, along with the user name being in lower case, I also had to use lower case for network address. "hda". Did alot of google searching on this too. You can modify and test different scenarios using windows 7 credential manager from control panel
