File transfer speeds [RESOLVED]

i guess i should add that i use the /hda/files/ and just run fsck manually....

I've enabled disk-cache (or write-cache w/e it's called), in the BIOS. This seems to have given me very acceptable speeds when trasferring on locally mounted shares (70mb/s+).

I'll keep monitoring and see what happens.
