can't acess shares

running windows 8 machine,
i can see all the shares when i type hda/ on browser, but on file explorer if i type in \\hda\name of share there's no results
so how do i upload files to the server then
trying to map network drive doesn't work either i type in let's say \\hda\Docs and it can't find it

Should not be an issue. Does your client have a DHCP and DNS address from the HDA? Is this the only client that has the issue?

they all have the same issue, how do i go about configuring DNS and DHCP ? that may be what's causing the issue

DHCP and DNS is on by default with Amahi. Per the install instructions, did you turn off DHCP on your router?
