Can see my shares but not log in - oppo and sonos
Can see my shares but not log in - oppo and sonos
I can find my shares from my oppo and sonos player but i cant logon. Get wrong username or password from oppo and nothing from sonos. The shares works from a windows computer with the same account.
Re: Can see my shares but not log in - oppo and sonos
Could be a firewall causing the issue. You have not provided enough detail for us to really offer much advice.

All the shares works fine from windows computers and localy on the Amahi (Ubuntu) server. Windows, Amahi, Oppo and sonos are behind the same firewall.

Re: Can see my shares but not log in - oppo and sonos
If you are using Greyhole, that might be the issue. Some devices/software cannot see symbolic links or play well with them.
If that is not the case, then you might need to consult the devices web site for assistance. Amahi provides shares via Samba, nothing special that any other Linux distro can do other than the integration with Greyhole.
You might need to use the script mount shares locally for your HDA. See the wiki for guidance, but be aware it only reflects Ubuntu and Fedora 19 versions of the script.
Hope this helps.

Re: Can see my shares but not log in - oppo and sonos
I can logon with the subzer0 account thats have read and write, but not with the oppo account thats only have read from the oppo player. From sonos I cant logon with none off the accounts, it can see the shares but not the content. Is there any settings that i should look at in samba?
Re: Can see my shares but not log in - oppo and sonos
Im using greyhole. I think I can use DLNA instead of smb for oppos and sonos, maby give it a try tomorrow.
Re: Can see my shares but not log in - oppo and sonos
Are you using mount shares locally? If so point to the /mnt/share name.

Yes I do, I have them mounted under /mnt.

Re: Can see my shares but not log in - oppo and sonos
I have heard some instances where pointing to the normal share name worked as well. Have you tried that?
