Sharing Issues...

Postby jokjr » Mon Aug 20, 2012 4:26 pm

I have amahi installed and working fine. As I was moving my files from my pc to the server I kept getting hd full, which was a small landing zone. All of my PCs could see all of the share except my main computer I work on could get in to and look at what was inside and everything else could not get past the folder name. Well I moved the LZ to a larger drive in the pool per the wiki page. After doing that everything worked fine except all my PCs can not get to the shares except the one I'm transferring my files from. I have checked the shares and it is set to everyone on all the shared folders. I also have another login on the server jim and chris. On my pc I see all folders and the jokjr folder I created under my name but not crood for the other log in. On the Laptop when chris goes to the \\hda under network he sees only crood folder that was created and not anything else. Headed to see if I can find anything else out. So if anyone can help thanks.

Thanks
jokjr

And shouldn't any computer on the network have access to the server and folders.

Check the permissions of /var/hda/files. The folders should be owned by your first admin user:users.

Recommend you check out the shares troubleshooter in the wiki.
