I've had my Amahi server up and running fine for a while now and I can access shares using Windows 7 without any issues.
However, I've recently installed Ubuntu on my laptop but I'm having trouble accessing my HDA shares in the same way as I do using Windows.
In Ubuntu I am able to access the files but I'm not able to write to them as I don't have permission. Now the thing is that I am never prompted for a login/password when using Ubuntu to access the shares, so I guess I am logging in as guest. Also, I can't browse the network, I can only access the share by selecting Go > Location and then entering the manual IP address of the HDA.
I can't work out what I'm doing wrong. Do I need to change my domain/workgroup? How can I login with a different username/password?
My HDA is installed on Fedora 14.
As you can probably tell, I'm a beginner when it comes to Linux so please be kind!
