how do I setup my highpoint esata controller to work with amahi 64 bit and how do I get greyhole to see the four drives( 3 - 1.5t HD and 1t HD) so I can setup a pool of space outside of the one 500gb one that houses my os and amahi.
thanks
how to setup my highpoint 622 esata controller to work
Re: how to setup my highpoint 622 esata controller to work
Hi -- was this ever answered? I have the same esata card and a Sans Digital tr4m-b tower for 4 drives (card came with the tower). The unit came with a linux driver, but I have to compile the kernel. I'm familiar with linux, but compiling kernels is beyond my capability.
I found a post on how to do that in fedora at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Cust ... the_Source, but I can't get it to work.
Please help! Thanks in advance.

Hello, I've got the Sans Digital TR8MP and I got it working with amahi.
All you have to do is visit the website for the raid card (in my case, http://www.highpoint-tech.com/USA_new/series_rr600.htm), then click the download section. In there, choose your raid card, click the download driver link, choose the proper fedora dist, then extract those files somewhere on the amahi server. Then, as root, run install.sh (sh install.sh). Once this is done, the driver is installed. Then, you'll probably want to install the web gui (allows you to modify your raid array settings w/o rebooting). Just follow the install steps for that.
In my setup, I can add new hard drives to the storrage tower, add it to its own JBOD "array", format it, add it to greyhole in less than 10 minutes ! Works like a charm. Let me know if you've got any questions.
