I'm new to linux and have been doing alot of reading on the forums to find my answer but need some help. I have the amahi server installed and like what I see. Trying to upload my music to var/hda/files/music but I get the IO error: error 412 saying the directory has not been made writeable for the user. I've checked all the permissions and everything is ok. I came across an answer to a forum question on this same issue and the user was told to sign into the terminal and make the following change:
"chmod 775 /var/hda/files/music"
I did this with no luck, still can't upload any files to any of the file directories, not just the music directory.
Any ideas.

Re: hda file directories not writeable
Hello,
You shouldn't directly write to the directories on your server, especially not if you are using Greyhole:
http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Greyhole
These directories are made available as 'windows' shares and that's where you should copy your files:
http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Storage ... le_sharing
Hope this helps,
Richard
