I have opened up a ticket:

He also asked me to update the greyole to the latest version, but I get an error:

You have the latest version for that OS.

You cannot update to the latest Greyhole version without doing it manually or upgrading to Amahi 11.

the actions from the bug report have let to greyhole starting the balance action and finishing a FSCK.

all is quiet again

[jochen@localhost ~]$ sudo greyhole -L

and it has produced a lot of extra free space:

and last but not least I can write to the shares in the storage pool again. Dont know what solved it, but glad its working again.
