Drive size(s)

Postby wyzard » Thu May 04, 2017 9:19 am

Quick question... (or two)

I had two 2 terabyte drives in my system. One drive died. I'm down to one 2 terabyte drive. I've removed greyhole but am looking to add more space and reinstall greyhole.

My question is do all the data drives in the system need to be the same size (i.e., 1 terabyte, 2 terabyte, etc.)? If they are different sized will they affect greyhole in anyway? I'm asking because I've found a good deal on 3 terabyte drives and was thinking of adding those.

Thanks.

No. The purpose of storage pooling is to join drives of all sizes together as if they were one.
