SOLVED: Removing root from pooling
So I have a rather dumb question. When I setup up Greypool using the UI I absentmindedly included the root directory. My question is how do I remove it from the pool? It seems if I delete it I can't do anything with selecting how the shares are included in the pooling anymore. In a more general direction, how do I remove a drive from the the pool without losing files?
Re: Removing root from pooling
Do you have additional drives in the storage pool? There must be at least one drive in addition to the OS drive to use Greyhole. My question is how do I remove it from the pool?
Recommend you see Greyhole moving data out of the pool guidance in the wiki.In a more general direction, how do I remove a drive from the the pool without losing files?

Re: Removing root from pooling
Yeah I have three drives total in my pool. So I have tried the command and the drive appears to be removed from the pool looking at greyhole.log. Since its removed can I now deselect root from the greyhole UI? Also does this command remove the files on the root as well after the shares have been transferred to the other drives or will I have to do that manually?

Manually by removing the /gh directory on the root drive. Also does this command remove the files on the root as well after the shares have been transferred to the other drives or will I have to do that manually?
Recommend you verify the files are located on another drive before removing the folder from root drive.
