SOLVED: Landing zone full, how to clear? Amahi 9 with greyhole

Postby ddogg777 » Fri May 27, 2016 8:33 pm

So I spent an hours searching and I've seen users have successfully cleared their landing zone after it had become full and dashboard unresponsive. But I can't seem to find those steps.
I have a 256gb ssd for '/' and 2x4tb drives for greyhole shares. My landing zone is the 256gb drive but I know I was only a few hundred gigs from filling the greyhole drives as well.

Should I turn off the server and disconnect the greyhole drives.

Recommend you shut off Greyhole and clear some files from the LZ.

This can be done via the HDA Dashboard, Settings -> Servers. Ensure you disable Watchdog and Start on boot time.

Once you have the LZ cleared or at least reduced, then enable Greyhole.

Recommend you execute as root:

Code: Select all

greyhole -f
Monitor /var/log/greyhole.log and once it finishes, you can then add more files. Do it in phases so you don't fill the LZ.

Thanks Bigfoot, i was able to do it by ssh with CPGs help since the dashboard was unresponsive. I gave a small donation for his time. 8-)
