SOLVED: Amahi not recognizing root resize

Postby lvibe » Wed Mar 16, 2016 2:30 pm

I recently resized my root partition allowing for some extra space however Amahi disk stat is not recognizing the extra space. I have attached my lsblk output as well as a snapshot of disk stat.

Did you use LVM when you installed the OS?

Please provide the URL FOR:

You did install using LVM for your disk management, so there are additional steps needed before the OS will see things correctly.

You may need to search the internet for that info.

BTW, we recommend not using LVM in the instructions (see below) so you may have missed that step.
Ensure the New mount points will use the following partitioning scheme: is changed to reflect Standard partition. Then select Click here to create them automatically. We STRONGLY advise against use of LVM or setting a /home partition.
The how to remove a drive from LVM wiki guidance might help with your issue.

Hey bigfoot thanks for the quick responses as usual. After some research I decided to do a fresh install using the migration wiki. Worked perfect.... I now have the root drive setup as a standard partition and I was able to 're-setup greyhole the way I had it... It works perfect. Now with this being my 3rd fresh install I am becoming an old pro. I was able to easily and efficiently set up teamspeak3 server and I was wondering if that's something you would like to have in the wiki?

Great to hear.

Yes it would be beneficial to have Teamspeak guidance in the wiki. I am sure there are others who would benefit.

Will mark this one as solved.
