The system is recovered just by deleting some big files.

Code: Select all

chown -R 1stadminuser:users /var/hda/files/drives/ehd1/share
I tried this command but get the following statement:
Chown: changing owership of '/var/hda/files/drives/ehd1/books': Operation not permitted. I logged in as root user.
Any thought about this?

What was the command line you entered? Did you check the ownership permissions of that share?

I used this command line as root user and replaced 1stadminuser to my 1st username.

Code: Select all

chown -R 1stadminuser:users /var/hda/files/drives/ehd1/books
Of course I will go through all of the shares, but above, it's just a example.
Did you check the ownership permissions of that share?
You mean check it on my dashboard or by some other command line?

What you did should be correct. You could probably get away with:

Code: Select all

chown -R 1stadmin:users /var/hda/files/drives/ehd1
That will change everything on the drive.

To check the permissions, do the following:

Code: Select all

ll /var/hda/files/drives/ehd1

I tried the code

Code: Select all

chown -R 1stadmin:users /var/hda/files/drives/ehd1
It still throws me warning
Changing ownership of '/var/hda/...': Operation not permitted
I used root user so don't know why it's still rejecting me...
By leveraging

Code: Select all

ll /var/hda/files/drives/ehd1

I got the report like this.
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 32768 Apr 25 15:26 My Backups

When you mounted the drive, ensure you specified read and write. As root user, you should be able to change the ownership permissions.

I guess I've probably get the write/access authority. I rechecked all of my installed apps. Some of them are not working but most of them recovered after reinstallation. Only SABnzbd Plus is down.
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
This happens after the shares migration. Any advice? I can open another thread in another channel if it's not appropriate to be discuessed here. Thanks for your consistent support :D

The SABnzbd Plus may have issues due to you moving the share. I believe its set to /var/hda/files/newsgroups.

When you move the shares, did you update the path in the Shares tab for each? If not, you need to do so or it does not know where to find them. Also I believe there is a permissions reset function there that might fix that issue.

I did what you say to update share in each share. But that 503 server error is still outstanding.
One interesting thing I noticed is that even though I deleted newsgroups share, the newsgroups share is still created and defaulted to /var/hda/files/newsgroups after SABnzbd reinstalled.
Could you please tell me how to deploy the permissions reset function? Right now I cannot even open the SABnzbd page.

Currently SABnzbd Plus backs up your settings when you uninstall. It then imports them for reinstall. To force it to use the default settings, follow this guidance.

For the permissions reset, look for the tool icon.

Select it to reset permissions on a share.
