After transferring data through the LAN. I verified ownership and started the greyhole service.
I ran tail -f /var/log/greyhole.log and this is my repeating output.

Mar 10 07:36:34 6 daemon: Greyhole (version 0.9.44) daemon started.
Mar 10 07:36:34 6 daemon: Optimizing MySQL tables...
Mar 10 07:36:34 7 daemon: Loading metadata store backup directories...
Mar 10 07:36:34 7 daemon: Found 2 directories in the settings table.
Mar 10 07:36:34 7 daemon: Checking symlink at /usr/lib64/samba/vfs/greyhole.so...
Mar 10 07:36:34 7 daemon: Is OK.
Mar 10 07:36:39 3 read_smb_spool: PHP Fatal Error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 59 bytes); BT: greyhole[L3795]

Is there something I missed?

No sure what the cause of that error might be. Can't say I have ever seen it. Some sort of memory error. Have you tried checking the internet? Maybe some one else has had this happen to them.

In case it helps someone else; it solved my problem.
You have way too many spooled files (in /var/spool/greyhole/).

Try to set, temporarily, a higher memory limit for Greyhole, in greyhole.conf: uncomment the memory_limit line, and set a higher value, like 1G or something.

Another option, if this was you adding data to your Greyhole shares initially, and you only added files, is to empty that folder:

Code: Select all

sudo find /var/spool/greyhole/ -type f -delete
Then run a Greyhole fsck to have Greyhole work on the files that are not where they should be:

Code: Select all

sudo greyhole --fsck

Could you please add this to the wiki? It would be greatly appreciated and I am sure we will see it again. There is a troubleshooting area for Greyhole there.
