This may have been answered elsewhere, but I have not been able to find it. If I manually install Greyhole on Amahi 7 today. Will the GUI and other integration tools work with it when you are able to release the app for Amahi 7? I do not mind putting in the work to manually get Greyhole running on a new Amahi 7 rig, but if that configuration is overwritten or not recognized when you do release your app it might feel like work wasted. Thanks.

Not sure at this point. If not, there should not be too much to redo. It may be a while before the UI is ready, so having it working now was important for me.

Any ETA yet on Greyhole integration?

Not yet but it is actively being worked.

There is good guidance in the wiki for manual setup. Took me 10 minutes to do and works perfectly.

There are some quick and simple greyhole apps in your store. Would it be difficult for them to be released on Amahi 7 and Fedora 19? I imagine most of them read the same log locations that are being used by the manual greyhole setup. Which, I agree, is fairly straight forward to setup.

The apps are being worked with the UI portion. Not beneficial to the setup at this point in my opinion. They thought is to have one app for all Greyhound pieces.

We are getting close. We ask for your patience and understanding.

I have a question about setting up the Landing Zone.

Currently I am running Amahi 6/Fedora 14 and plan to migrate to 7 and 19. In my current setup I have a 100GB partition which is nothing but my greyhole landing zone.

My partitions are setup as:

525MB boot
100GB root
2GB swap
250GB LZ
and the rest of the drive is in the greyhole pool

I would like to keep this type of setup. Creating the partition during the express install is no issue, but how do I tell Greyhole to use this partition during the manual install?

Thanks

Yes, I had read that. Tells me how to move it after greyhole is setup and running.

I asked how do I define the landing zone during setup.

Yes and it states the location for your shares is the landing zone. That is /var/hda/files by default.

Mount that partition as such.
