So I installed Amahi and moved /var/hda/files to a 2nd hard drive. I went to put the 3rd drive (Ext4) online and followed all the directions. While it does mount at /var/hda/files/drives/drive1, it shows up in the storage page with no graph and ":-(" next to it. As do the other (NTFS for now) drives when hda-diskmount mounts them. These drives mounted in /var/hda/files/drives are all busy. If they mount in /media everything is fine - but of course they don't work in Greyhole.
Any ideas? I'm sort of stuck here and I can't continue until I can migrate all my data over.

Re: Problem adding 3rd HD
Did you install all the depends for NTFS? Also I had a similar problem once. Can't remember how I resolved it, but I think it had to do with the directory permissions or something of that nature.

Re: Problem adding 3rd HD
I don't want the ntfs drives to be part of greyhole, they happen to mount with hda-diskmount when they are unmounted. My plan is to bring the first drive up, migrate the data to it, reformat that drive, and add it to the pool and repeat until they all are native and the data is moved to the pool.
It seems as though something is misconfigured but the steps are pretty straight forward and I don't think I missed anything.
I formatted with the disk management program in Ubuntu, could that be the problem?

Yes it could be. Drives have to be formatted a certain way.

Re: Problem adding 3rd HD
Well I tried it again with gparted and made it msdos partition table and ext3 partition of the full drive capacity. Ran hda-diskmount and it mounted it under /var/hda/files/drives as usual - then still no dice in the storage page.
How can I determine what is causing the problem? Is this a file system problem, a smb problem, an amahi problem or a greyhole problem?
I just looked at the folders in /var/hda/files/drives and they are all owned by root with no group or guest access. Is this right?

Re: Problem adding 3rd HD
I would recommend you use cfdisk and follow the wiki guidance on how to format the drive using that program.
The drives should be owned by your first admin user:users.

Re: Problem adding 3rd HD
Nope... Used cfdisk and repartitioned the drive and reformatted it, same problem.
Re: Problem adding 3rd HD
I think when I had that problem I upgraded Greyhole. Might try it. Guidance is in the wiki.

Updated it... still nothing.
If I run 'greyhole --status' it doesn't give any results so I don't think it itself is interfering.
I will probably nuke it and start over tomorrow - I may have done something weird at some point and I don't have anything invested in this particular installation.

Re: Problem adding 3rd HD
Ok, I nuked the boot drive and started over... fresh ubuntu, installed amahi, verified that both drives (2nd drive with/var/hda/files) and the 3rd drive show up in the storage page as valid.
I modified /etc/fstab to reflect the new location of /var/hda/files and that still shows up. Now /var/hda/files/drives/drive1 (the 3rd drive) shows up with
again.
There must be something that I am missing here. The 3rd drive was formatted with cfdisk and added to /etc/fstab per the wiki and I followed all the directions.
