When is the Mount Shares Locally Script Run?

Postby highlan » Sun Mar 24, 2013 4:22 pm

I'm working on installing MythTv on my amahi server, and I would like to have the shows I recorded stored on a share. Since MythTv backend is run locally and I want it to store shows on shares, it's my understanding that I need to mount the shares locally.

Therefore, I'm wondering when the mount shares locally server is started. Is it started when a user logs in locally, or is it run when the server starts up and no login is required?

If anyone can provide any help/hints on installing MythTv on an Ubuntu based amahi server, I'd love to hear from you. The amahi wiki is based on Fedora and I'm too new to linux to know the difference between Fedora and Ubuntu, so I'm hesitant to use the wiki.

Thanks for everyone's help!

It starts when the server boots up. The service runs as the user you set in the script.
