Some files are still in the landing zone

I have configured greyhole pool for all the shares. But some files are still in the LZ. I've deleted and copied files over and over again and managed to send most of the files to the pool. But some files are still there in LZ as shown below. grayhole -fsck didn't help.

Any thoughts?

Code: Select all

nas@nas:/var/hda/files$ sudo du -d 1 4 ./Docs 4 ./Books 47980 ./Pictures 9944 ./Backup 20576 ./Music 20 ./owncloud 4 ./Public 580 ./Movies 4 ./Backups

Have you tried other Greyhole command line options? Seems like they would clear out eventually with the --fsck unless Greyhole does not know they are there.

Might consider checking file permissions as well for those left behind. Not sure if it would cause a problem, but never hurts to check.

You must also ensure that you've not had shared previously in gh/ directories in the /var/hda/files LZ because if you've changed your LZ in the past, it might show in the new LZ as the instructions in the wiki do indicate to copy over your prior files.

what's wrong with having the files in the LZ?

If you REALLY want them gone, you can make sure you have the network shares mounted locally to the HDA and then go into the LZ directory and move all but the drives/ and /gh folders from there to the mounted shares. Samba will then process the files and greyhole will pool them. JUST BE CAREFULL>>> we take no responsibility for your files!
