I dont think there are any issues specifically with Gryhole and BRTFS interaction but was wondering if anyone has run Amahi using BRTFS and if they notice any measurable (anecdotal or real) performance improvements.

You've nothing to lose with trying it, as it has in-place conversion and roll-back to/from ext3/4 and it might be the default for F17 if we're lucky.

Oh, and isn't it BTRFS, instead of BRTFS?

fyi, BTRFS fsck is not functional in F16.

I strongly recommend against using it until all the security tools have been implemented

Very likely we will not be incorporating Amahi with Fedora 16. Since Fedora 17 is due out next week, that would be the target of choice. Not sure of the file system that will be used, but thought I would clarify that Fedora 16 is off scope for Amahi.

As of now, we are focusing on Ubuntu. It is getting close to being a stable Beta version. Once it's up and running with apps and Greyhole, we can then look more at Fedora 17. It appears there are some hurdles that Fedora has thrown in for us overcome.

i think the lack of a fsck tool is a kernel issue based on my friend Google's findings....

i suspect they will have it resolved by the time Fedora 17 releases or maybe the next kernel update after....

i just wanted to let peeps know that fsck doesnt happen like with ext4...etc.
