Pooling issue (I think)
I have 300BG and 2TB hard drives on my Amahi server and Amahi shares are using Pool. Now that I am ready to dump all my docs, pics and videos onto Amahi shares I went to Amahi server attached external drive and under /var/hda/files I only see 45gb space. I don't see full 2TB space. when I go to Amahi Dashboard I see full space. So Amahi is working correct but seems like I need to tell Fedora to also use Pool. Because I am trying to phsyically connect external drive and add data to amahi shares. Other option is to transfer wirelessly which will take days if not weeks.
Re: Pooling issue (I think)
Do the following and see if reports the free space correctly:
Code: Select all
df -h

Applications Manager
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 16GB RAM, 1TBx1+2TBx2+4TBx2

Re: Pooling issue (I think)
ok so how do I copy files into var/hda/files/movies because it shows only 40 some GB
how do I tell Fedora file system that my var file system is using pool ?
currently I have my movie files copied into /home/raman/Videos which does show correct storage

Re: Pooling issue (I think)
Has there been any message they won't fit in the share? If not, then copy them using your client. If you are using Windows 7, then use Windows Explorer.

Re: Pooling issue (I think)
but that means transfer wirelessly which will take long time I was hoping to connect external drive to amahi server via USB and transfer
Re: Pooling issue (I think)
Ok, then connect the drive to your HDA. You will also need to setup the Greyhole mount_local_shares script prior to doing so or things will not go well.

Your questions have not been very specific, so in the future please try to detail more what you are wanting to do. It will save us both time.
