Missing files after folder rename [SOLVED]
Posted: Sun Jan 01, 2012 4:22 pm
Hi,
I was busy organizing my films and I was renaming a number of directories. Now, I find my folders empty in those I renamed. That is until I discovered my old folders still live on on the disks...
The
/var/hda/files/drives/drive[1,2,3]/gh/[ShareName]/[Old FolderName]/
still exists, and has my old files. In the
/var/hda/files/drives/drive[1,2,3]/gh/[ShareName]/[New FolderName]/
they are gone.
How best to recover? Will greyhole --fsck repair this?
Thanks for your ideas.
[edit]
Checked again this morning and found the greyhole server stopped. I forgot to turn the watchdog on after I had switched it off during a recovery procedure. Running an --fsck now

[edit2]
Now most of it has been repaired by --fsck, and I'll manage the rest. I guess Greyhole stopping was the cause of my symptoms. Sorry to bother you folks, I panicked. Happy New Year!
