greyhole attic when deleting from an OSX Lion client

Is there a trick when using an OSX Lion client? When I delete files from my win 7 PC they end up in the greyhole attic. But when I delete files from an OSX Lion laptop they just disappear. Do I have to do something on the client side to get the attic to work?
