I've just bought a couple 1TB drives to replace the pair of 250GB drives I have. I've read through some posts on adding & replacing drives and I see the straight forward process is running '--going', removing a drive then adding the new.
I wonder if, from a space mgmt and risk perspective if it would make sense to add one of the new drives to the pool, then run '--going' to release one original drive, then repeating the process.
Thoughts?

Upgrading/Replacing Drives
Re: Upgrading/Replacing Drives
Either method would work. Add a drive, then --going on the one being removed. Or --going, pull and replace. I see no potential issues either way.
That being said, I think the reason it was mentioned to do it by using going first then pull and replace, is because alot of amahi users fill up every hd slot they have and need to free a slot up at least initially
