Hi everybody

I'm absolulty noob in amahi, but its really interesting to learn..

My question is, why use Amahi only my Systemdrive for data?

Which path is correct for greyhole and my shares?? Because i don't want to use the Systemdrive for any Data...!

Using the current settings you show in your screenshots, the / partition will only be used temporarily, for new files.
When Greyhole has time, it will move the files from there into the storage pool.
If you'd like to not use the / partition even temporarily, you'll need to change their Location (Ort) to something like:

Code: Select all

/var/hda/files/drives/drive10/Filme
etc.
You might need to manually create the Filme (etc.) directories in the drive10 folder before you change the shares Locations.

If you already have data in /var/hda/files/*, you'll need to move those files from there into the new /var/hda/files/drives/drive10/* directories.

Example, with the Filme share:
- In terminal: mv /var/hda/files/Filme /var/hda/files/drives/drive10/
- In Amahi Dashboard: change Location (Ort) to /var/hda/files/drives/drive10/Filme

Aaah ok. Sry i misunderstood this. I thouht there is a global path for greyhole. Where i can specify.

Is that correct: Regardless of which path i specify. Amahi will automatic make a "save" in the other Harddrives on the "Storage Pool" ?

Yes.
The path specified in the Shares page is only where the files will end up, before getting moved into the other drives.
