Hello.
First of all I'd like to thank the whole Amahi team for this project. I's really nice.
The question:
I was interested in adding an additional hard drive and temporary USB drives, and what I've found out was that that it's impossible to simply plug the new drive, got to administration panel, click several buttons and have it work.
Instead, it's necessary to run the console, type a lot of commands. Before, it's necessary to install and configure Putty or some like this. And before this you have to read some material about Linux commands, consoles, SSH... simply to understand what you are doing.
Of course this all isn't a problem for Linux geeks at all. Finally I've caught the idea of this, but I'm afraid that this could be a BIG problem for many common people, generally Windows users who will just stuck in front of the necessity to perform some strange console operations. Who just want to have a stable, expandable and easy configurable via GUI system.
So, is there any way to make drive mount procedure more user friendly and make closer to the
"Knowing or being familiar with Linux/Unix is NOT a requirement."?
May be you are planing to add some features like this in future releases?
"Adding drive" for common people
Re: "Adding drive" for common people
Yes. This is a feature planned for upcoming versions of Amahi.
A 'script' was written, to explain what the procedure would look like. But it still needs to be coded.
It will be announce on the blog when this new feature is added.

Thank you for the answer. These are really good news.
I'm looking forward to see this feature in forthcoming releases.
Wish good luck for this project.
