What am I forgetting

Postby jeffmb45 » Sun Jan 19, 2014 10:49 am

Been running Amahi on Ubuntu 12.04. Recently I had a system issue that turned into me not
being to get to the HDA. I ended up re-installing 12.04 ver, and have all my disk mounting
and showing up in storage. But when I look at shares, there is no disk pooling option. The
greyhole server is running.
I'm sure it's a step I forgot, but I would sure appreciate a hand with this

thanks
jeff

I think I just found my answer. Am I right that the greyhole app is no longer in the
available apps for Ubuntu, and I need to do a manual install?
And can I use the latest deb, greyhole-0.9.40-1.i386.deb in 12.04, or
do I need to use an older ver.

There has never been a Greyhole app for Ubuntu, other than the Log viewer and the Disk Util app. We have always provided guidance in the wiki for those who wanted to manually upgrade.

You can use the latest Greyhole deb file on the Greyhole web site. Not sure, but need to verify if it's hda-greyhole or greyhole.

The wiki guidance should reflect what you need to do in order to get the latest for Ubuntu.
