A question on how GH manages data storage. My drive conf so far is
the sys drive, 2 pool drives,= drive1 =1gb, drive2 =500gb. What
I have seen so far is that data is moved from the LZ to drive1 first.
I only have 1 share set to duplicate so I see that it built a copy on
drive2 for that share. If drive 1 is filling up and say it has 100gb left
open, but the data dump I want to add to the pool is 150gb, with
no copy, how will greyhole manage that? Will it split the data from the
LZ between the 2 pool drives, or will it see that drive 1 doesn't have
enough room and move all of the data to drive2?
thanks
jeff

Re: Data Storage
Run a drive balance to see what gh does with your 2 pooled drives.
You might turn up enough space balanced between the 2 drives to accommodate.
In any case, drives are cheap.. upgrade your smallest one and worry less, no? Filling up drives to the brim is bad practice.
