Files not being automatically moved from LZ

When I copy files to my server from my Win7 machine, my LZ fills and then I am stuck. It sits there until I manually run a fsck, then all the files are moved properly and my LZ is free again. I know it used to be that Greyhole would automatically start moving things into place as soon as they arrived in the LZ. I could copy files, tail the log and watch them being moved into place in the pool. I've tried reading up on the wikis and posts here to see if the native behavior of Greyhole has changed and maybe this is normal now, but haven't found a definitive answer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry. I was just trying to include all of the requested information. I know it isn't typically proper forum etiquette to include all of that in a post. Almost every other thread in here is done the same way so I was just following along. I moved it all to a log file which is now attached.

Understand. We are trying to encourage folks more to not post such long messages as it makes it harder to read. We really need to post some rules of engagement for posting to minimize this type of stuff.

Have you checked the Greyhole info in the wiki or searched the forums? Seems like we have seen this before. Did you say whether this is Fedora or Ubuntu? If so, I missed it.

I'm on F14. And yes, I have. I can find situations similar but not exactly the same (or even close enough) to give me a solution. It happens if you use a file transfer method other than SMB as only SMB can trigger an event being created to move the files into the pool. It seems that even though I am using SMB, this task is not being created. Like somehow my trigger mechanism is broken. I'll keep searching and post here if I find a fix. I'm happy to try just about anything if anyone has any ideas...

From Guillaume:
Your shares are missing the required config lines in smb.conf to become Greyhole shares.
You need to enable that in the Amahi interface.
See with them if you have issues enabling Greyhole on Amahi shares.

So after reviewing my smb.conf http://fpaste.org/bL6H/. I saw what Guillaume was talking about. Now, they all show as being enabled in the dashboard (check next to uses pool) so I tried unchecking/rechecking one of them.

After this, I rechecked smb.conf and I think the appropriate lines were added. http://fpaste.org/5e53/ So I restarted SMB and Greyhole and low and behold, it works. I'm curious as to what removed those lines from smb.conf to begin with but whatever. They're back, it works and I'm happy.

Awesome. Figured if there was anyone who knew the solution, it would be Guillaume This might be something to add to the wiki under troubleshooting for Greyhole. Do you have the time to add it?
