I'm a new convert to Amahi from WHS, and thought I'd drop a quick note about something I found particularly confusing during my initial set up. it took me awhile to get my head around setting up the pool in the first place, mostly because I was reading the wrong instructions. The real problem came when I tried migrating my data into the pool, it was over a terrabyte of transfer to get my media collection on the server, and I kind of panicked when I saw it filling up my relatively small root drive (its only 250gb) given the rather scary warning that filling that drive could lead to an unbootable system.
I know enough about linux just to be dangerous so I set off to fix things and more or less hosed the system, which is no big deal for me I just started over, but it could have been avoided if I had there had been a memo on the storage pool page letting me know that it used that landing zone.
You were of massive help via Twitter, and I implemented your recommendations into my amahiserver mk2

Now that I have it working, I am in love with the software. It was still less of a pain in the ass to set up then WHS, and it has a lot better hardware support.
