Guys on mini-itx.com there are some good offers on where you could find the perfect hardware to build yourself a nice Amahi server.

I was looking at this bundle which includes,

- Intel D945GCLF Atom Motherboard with an Atom 230 1.6GHz CPU
- Black or Silver/Black Noah 3988 Mini-ITX Case measuring just 97 x 273 x 202mm
- 1GB of DDR2 667 RAM
- 320GB 7200RPM 3.5in SATA HDD (Seagate, Western Digital or Samsung branded, depending on current availability)

have a look - http://www.mini-itx.com/store/?c=44 all for £149 exc VAT

It looks like a bargain, but I'm not sure about the limitation of only 2 SATA ports.

I was looking at using Amahi for a mini ITX server aswell, i've looked into getting all the components seperatly from http://www.novatech.co.uk

Spec's

Mini ITX MOBO with Dual core 1.6 GHz Atom intergrated processor
2GB Ram
1TB HDD
Small Case with 200w PSU

Comes to £175, so might be worth having a look round.

Also only has 2 Sata Ports but you can buy PCI Controller cards for adding more SATA Hdd's but make sure you have a case big enough to fit the HDD's.

The only thing im concerned about is the power the thing will use in comparrison to a NAS Drive which has say a 15w psu compared to my 200w psu.

Anyone got any ideas on the power consumtion on average a month a Amahi server uses if the server is on Wake on Lan Function and used only to store and stream films and music ?

Many thanks
