Drupal

Installed the app fine, but when I check status in Drupal it give me this error "The GD library for PHP is missing or outdated. Please check the PHP image documentation for information on how to correct this." Doing a quick google search, it seems it has something to do with images. Will this be a problem for the average user?

we added php-gd as a dependency for this app. does it still happen after reinstalling?
My HDA: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz on MSI board, 8GB RAM, 1TBx2+3TBx1
