Reading on the torrentflux-b4rt forums mentions that the 'mainline' bittorrent client does have the DHT feature. I haven't tried it before, I've only ever used bittornado and transmission with it. That should be tested to know if its all working as it should.

Edit: ajaxmike: I wish I could be more help. I havent noticed any problems similar to what you described (so far anyway). Ill keep my eyes out.
