Testers,

Please try to install and uninstall this app. Report any positive/negative findings in this forum. Thus far, it worked for some and for others it did not. I has been tried on F9 32/64-bit and F10 32-bit with success.

There have been some which could not get it to work. We are trying to isolate the issue and believe it could revolve around the java dependencies.

It has been noticed that on occasion, not all the app folders are removed when doing an uninstall. If this happens, the app will install successfully, but not work. The steps below appear to correct the issue:

a. Uninstall the application
b. check if /var/hda/web-apps/adito still exists. If so, remove it.
c. reboot your machine.
d. perform install.

This should result in a successful deployment.

The one click install seemed to work fine for me, but I do not know how to use the app. So I went for the question mark icon in the top right of the window after logging in and changing the admin password. That popped up a small external browser window with links to some documentation. But the links do not point to a valid resource. For example the PDF document links to somewhere on localhost -> http://localhost/products/adito/documen ... rce%3Dhelp

once I figure out how it works maybe I can help more

I don't believe the help files are part of the application at this point. This app is still being developed by the authors. I do have an administration manual that I can make available to you.

I will upload it to getdropbox.com and post a link in this forum later today. Hope that will help.

this one's gotta go in. once adito is up and running, all you have to do is forward 443 (https) from your router to the hda.
from then on in, you have an ssl vpn (which is comparable or better than the bigboys!)
it really is a nice piece of software and has security for all eg password+pin, rsa's etc.
it's java based (not activex) and will cut through most coporate firewalls whereas activex most probably won't.
you can take your hda with you securely with this and also use it as a secure proxy to other sites etc.
it really does have the lot and will be a great addition to amahi.

I've tested this app. First it didn't startup. I've installed libXaw.i386 and the problem was solved (i'am running fedora/amahi 64 bits). I've uninstalled it. No problems all app directory's were removed. The only problem that i have is that when the servers reboots Adito gives a error. I think i have to restart it manually again. How do i restart this app?

This is a nice app it. it looks like the WHS remote website.

This app will be incorporated into the server control feature before it's released. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask.

once adito is up and running, all you have to do is forward 443 (https) from your router to the hda.

Im unfortunate enough to have that port filtered by my ISP. Can I just forward a usable one(like 888) to port 443 and access it with https://hostname:888?

Adito is running on port 4443 in the HDA. Forward the private port of 4443 to public 443. Most ISPs won't block this type of port forward. The key is to forward the port Adito is running on to one that you can use on the outside of the network.

If you use anything other than 443, you will have to append the port number to the url when you access it outside your LAN (e.g. http://username.yourhda.com:port).
